James McFadden Obituary

JAMES LESLIE "LES" McFADDEN, 93 Died on June 9, 2005, in Roseville, Calif. Les was born in San Francisco on July 14, 1911. He was the brother of Pearl and Eunice, who both preceded him in death. Les is the husband of the late Anna "Ann" Frances Burk; the father of James L. McFadden of Sonoma and Carol Pollack of Loomis, Calif.; father-in-law of JoAnn Consiglieri and Richard Pollack, DVM; grandfather of Brian, Maureen and Leslie McFadden, Christopher Pollack and Alyssa Clark; grandfather-in-law to Scott Clark, Billy O'Neal and Jen McFadden; great-grandfather to Chloe and Clay Clark and Jakob McFadden. He has numerous nieces and nephews who celebrated his 80th birthday at Morton's Warm Springs and his 90th in Nevada and frequently did outings with him. Les was a sheet metal worker and was the youngest man to work on the Golden Gate Bridge. Les and Ann lived in Burlingame for 47 years, where they raised their family and were parishioners of Our Lady of Angels. His home during his last years was the Assisted Living Facility at the Palms in Roseville. He was an excellent bridge player, enjoyed reading, and at 87, floated on an inner tube in the middle of the Russian River with the Consiglieri clan. A memorial Mass will be celebrated with Monsignor Jack O'Hara at 12 noon Saturday, July 9, at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Sonoma, Calif., with private inurnment at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Santa Rosa. The family prefers memorial donations to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Association, IRSA (International Rhets Syndrome Association), the Alzheimer's Association, or a charity of your choice.
