James STANTON Obituary

James E. Stanton Mar. 12, 1922 ~ Dec. 20, 2010 Resident of Dixon James E. Stanton, 88, passed away on Dec. 20, 2010 at home in Dixon, CA. He was born in Walters, OK on March 12, 1922. James served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a Fire Fighter for the Richmond Fire Department for 28 years retiring in 1981. He was of Catholic faith and had a love of animals. He enjoyed sailing, golfing, camping (especially at Yosemite National Park), woodworking, cooking. He also enjoyed spending time with his family such as his children and grandchildren. James is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nora of Dixon, CA; 2 daughters and sons-in-law; son and daughter-in-law; 3 grandchildren, Brendan, Kate and Noah. A Mass with Father Eduardo officiating will be held on Saturday, Jan. 22, at 1pm at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 105 S. 2nd St. in Dixon. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Dixon Senior Center, 201 S. 5th St. A private scattering of his ashes will be at sea. The family would like to thank the Kaiser Hospice team.
