I worked with stretch as an Ironworker. He was a very hard working man. I was with him when he went in the hole in Brisbane. The Steel was going up fast and Stretch and I were spreading metal decking and running all day. He was one tough guy. I ran down to the floor below where he went face first on to a staircase that was staged below. When I arrived he rolled over and told me his wrist were broken. I apologize for being graphic but I think the family should know we were the type that ran on the Iron. I went in the hole a year later and lived to tell about it. God Bless you all especially his wife and children. Stretch is a legend!

Jay was a great friend my best friend actually! Never met a kinder caring person yet. He helped me through a turbulent time of my life and made it so much fun. Jay and I became friends while tow truck driving for shell garage. We lived together at marina lakes drive in richmond after he offered to give me a place to live at his parents house in Elsobrante.
We had a lot of fun, especially with Scott and Jason M.
I was devastated when I seen the news after searching on line for so long. I really couldn’t believe it was the Jay I knew and didn’t except it really. A person as awsome and cool just couldn’t be him. The last we spoke we were supposed to get together and have a fun time back in California, I live in Massachusetts now and at the time we last spoke. I miss him dearly god bless you brotha always will remember you, you really were my best friend❤
