John Caproon Obituary

John Clarance Caproon Former Pleasanton Resident John Clarence Caproon, born in Missoula, MT April 4, 1941 went home to be with the Lord on February 20, 2009 following a lengthy illness. He served in the US Navy and was honorably discharged in 1962. He later received his Bachelor's degree in Engineering from the University of Illinois and retired as a Senior Sales Executive from Digital Equipment Corporation in 1994. He was a fifth degree black belt in Judo. He is survived by his loving wife, Connie; daughters, Colleen Karow (Skip), Erin Caproon, Kelly Waters (Keith); brothers, David, Scott and Dan Caproon; sister, Nancy Evans; and grandchildren, Bradley and Melanie Karow, Amber and Deidre Caproon. His funeral service will be held at 11:00am Thursday, February 26, 2009 at the Palms-Robarts Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave., Sarasota, Florida with burial to follow. Visitation will be 6-8pm on Wednesday, February 25, 2009. A gathering of family and friends will be held after the burial to celebrate the amazing life of John Caproon. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org.
