John Firpo Obituary

JOHN RAYMOND FIRPO completed his journey in this life November 20, 2001 at his home in Redwood City. Born June 10, 1915 in San Francisco, he was the only child of his immigrant parents, Daniele and Cesarina Firpo. He was the foundation on which his parents could rest their dreams. His innate strength and determination, as well as responsibility for his actions turned his parent's dreams into reality. He had an enormous love for his family. Raymond Firpo and Frances Nigro had a father who was passionate in every instant of life. An outstanding role model. He possessed an immediate persona, where, if you were not prepared for him, he would devour you with the intensity of his presence, wisdom and love. From his children came Arthur Nigro, Antoinette Wilson and Daniel Firpo, who all studied him under a Socratic microscope, with hopes of emulating their Nonno. He adored his great-grandson Thomas Nigro. Dad and Nonno, you will be in our hearts forever. Johnnie Ray will exist as long as words do. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to: Bruce Verhomen, Widows/Orphans Fund, P.O. Box 160923, Sacramento, CA 945816-0923. In memory of Retired S.F. Deputy Sheriff, Grandfather of Arthur Nigro, Sacramento Sheriff's Deputy. Under the direction of Woodside Chapel of Crippen and Flynn.
