John Kalafatis Obituary

JOHN KALAFATIS 53, passed to Our Lord on October 28, 2003, after bravely fighting cancer. When the Greek's euologized a man they ask, "what was his passion?" John's passion was his family and friends. He is survived and deeply loved by his wife, Marilyn and sons Steven and Matthew of San Ramon; his parents, Alex and Donna of Danville; his brothers, Cary of Pittsburg; Chris of Danville; his sister, Deena (David) York of American Canyon and many family members and friends. Funeral Liturgy will be held, Friday, October 31, 2003, 11:00 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 2601 San Ramon Valley Blvd., San Ramon. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial contributions be made in John's name to The UCSF Pancreatic Cancer Center Fund, Box 0248, UCSF, San Francisco, CA 94143-0248.
