Julius Wentrcek Obituary

Julius R. Wentrcek Julius R. Wentrcek passed away peacefully on July 11, 2005 at the age of 87 after several years of declining health. He was born in Granger, TX and raised in Liberty Hill, TX. He served in the Merchant Marines during WWII, which brought him to the Bay Area where he met and married Frances Regenwetter. Prior to retiring he worked for many years as a stationary engineer at the Naval Supply Center-Oakland and UC Berkeley. He enjoyed tinkering with machinery, going to flea markets and garage sales, growing fruit, playing the lottery, and attending functions and trips with several senior and retiree groups in the tri-valley area. He is survived by his son, Paul; daughter, Lynne and son-in-law, Erik Jensen; brothers, Joseph and Daniel; several nieces and nephews, and many caring friends and neighbors who brought him much comfort and companionship in his final years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances, and his sister, Cecelia. Contributions in his memory may be made to a charity or organization of your choice. There will be no formal services.
