Kathleen (Kathy) Hein was born in Concord, CA. She grew up in the Diablo Valley where she loved hiking in the hills with her dogs, family and friends. She graduated from Del Valle High School and also attended Las Lomas in Walnut Creek.
Kathy was a gifted athlete who could run like the wind in her youth. She loved softball, water and snow skiing, dancing and all outdoor activities. She also enjoyed traveling and shopping.
Kathy was a fearless competitor with an indomitable spirit. She had charisma that made her a natural leader. She attended, organized and led workshops and seminars for self-improvement and had a career in real estate finance.
She married Bill Quinn and brought two strong, loving sons into the world, Colby and Shelby Quinn.
Kathy retired with her soul mate Terry Roberson and her beloved dogs, Angel (love boy) and Blue (old girl), to a ranch outside Jackson, CA where she peacefully passed away on March 1. It is said a rainbow framed the property when her family visited the next day.
Kathy was predeceased by her beloved mother, Rosemary, brother Joseph and dear friend Lynnette. She is survived by her father, Edwin Hein, sons, Colby and Shelby, grandson Anthony, brothers Steve, Jim, Rich and John, sisters Judy, Elizabeth, Mary, Jeannie, Chris, Rosemary, Lori and Irina, her beloved Aunt Sis, and many more cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of the force of nature who was truly Kathleen Grace Hein is planned for 4 pm, March 14, 2015, at the home of Richard Hein in Walnut Creek. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to organizations supporting causes important to Kathy such as MagnoliaRecovery.org and ARFlife.org.
Kathleen is now in the loving embrace of the mother she missed so deeply in this life. We love them both with all our hearts.
