Livia Sciutti Obituary

Livia Sciutti
December 10, 1916 -
January 13, 2021
Resident of Moraga, CA
It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Livia Sciutti of Moraga. Livia was born in Buti, Italy on December 10, 1916. She passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021.
Livia immigrated to the United States with her mama when she was 4 years old to meet up with her papa who had gone ahead to the United States just after Livia had been born.
It takes a strong person, physically and mentally to live 104 years. Livia Sciutti was all of that and more. She was an incredible cook, seamstress, and gardener. She was an avid reader who loved doing crossword puzzles and dancing to Italian music. Livia always dressed well and looked young, even at 104.
At 104 years she had experienced the world in ways most of us will not. She lived through two pandemics (she never got the Spanish Flu or Covid), the Great Depression, many wars, the invention of television, man walking on the moon, and so much more. In reflecting back across her life, Livia said, "everything really started to become fast after WWII and really, too fast."
Livia is now with her parents, her deceased younger sister, her husband Andrew, her daughter Barbara, her grandparents, her son-in-law Benny, and many friends and other family members. They are celebrating her arrival as we say goodbye.
We were extremely blessed to have her in our lives and her stories, experiences, and recipes will continue to live on with her daughter, grandchildren, great grandson, extended family and friends. Livia is survived by daughter Shirley Boggeri (Bob Mussano); son-in-law Bob Heath; grandchildren Karen Heath-Malina (Mike Pechersky), Darlene Heath (Joy Palmquist), Andy Boggeri (Glenda Sonu) and Denise Lines (Chris). Livia's great grandson is Chase Palmquist .
Livia was an amazing woman and we will miss her dearly. Please raise a glass of your favorite beverage in her memory and have something sweet to eat! Salud to a life well lived!
