Lucie Peck "Armie" Armstrong

LUCIE PECK "ARMIE" ARMSTRONG February 12, 1904 - November 11, 2004 Passed away in Concord on November 11, 2004. She was a centenarian. Born February 12, 1904, in Loyalton, California, she was the daughter of Marie Meroux Peck and William Ottway Peck. She lived her early years in Loyalton, California. She graduated from Napa High School in 1922. Soon after she moved to Oakland, where she married Archie Armstrong, who preceded her in death in 1938. Upon his death she took over the family accounting business, which she operated for the next 45 years. She lived in Oakland for approximately 60 years. She has lived the last twenty years in Concord, the last three years with her daughter, Carol Damato. Armie loved cats, travel, Downieville, and a good card game. She was an avid Oakland A's fan, loyal listener of KGO Radio, and she enjoyed classical music. She was the family's historian and link to their past. She is survived by her brother, Paul Vincent Peck of Pinehurst, North Carolina; her son, George Norman Armstrong of Phoenix, Arizona; her daughter, Carol Damato of Concord, California; her grandchildren, Paul Damato of Pioneer, California, Cynthia Bermingham of Sheridan, Oregon, Cord Armstrong of Phoenix, Arizona, Jay Damato of Pleasant Hill, California; along with seven great-grandchildren. There is a rosary at Oak Park Hills Chapel in Walnut Creek on Tuesday, November 16, at 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, November 17, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in San Pablo at 10:30 a.m. Oak Park Hills Chapel (925) 934-6500
