Marion Hogan Obituary

Marion Hogan
Apr. 20, 1941 - Feb. 5, 2014
Resident of Crescent City, CA; former resident of Dublin, CA
Marion Hogan, passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, February 5, 2014. She touched many lives with her quick wit and loving spirit.
Marion was born in Connecticut. Her family moved to Alameda, CA in her adolescence. She graduated from Encinal High School in 1959. At Encinal, she met her high school sweetheart and future husband Jerry Hogan. They settled in Dublin in 1963. Marion was a jack of all trades and master of one. She was bus driver, beautician, but most importantly a loving mother and house wife. She was a soccer mom before soccer moms were in vogue. She was involved in all of her children's various sporting activities, shuttling them from one game to the next. After raising her four children, her and Jerry spent time traveling and camping with their devoted friends Carol Woods and Edrhys Balvin. Her favorite activities included traveling, gardening, reading, and catching up on her grandchildren's activities.
Marion is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Jerry Hogan; four children, Tim (Lisa) of Sacramento, Greg (Claudia) of Dublin, Heidi (John) Despotakis of Livermore, and Brian (Susan) of Castro Valley; and her eight grandchildren, Alexa, David, Peyton, Noel, Vanessa, Jordan, Ainsley, and Kendall.
The family had a small celebration of her life with her immediate family and closest friends this past Sunday.
