Marlene Dexter Obituary

MARLENE FAYE (LORETTE) DEXTER November 18, 1935-November 18, 2007 Born in Duluth, Minnesota, long time Castro Valley resident, left us suddenly after a brief battle with lung cancer at the young age of 72. She leaves behind her husband and soul mate of 54 years, Jack; her children, son in laws and 8 grandchildren: Danny (and partner, Sophia), Patty and husband, Dennis Moore, Melissa and Megan, Margie and husband, Mike McConvey, Rachel, Becca and Sammy, Maryanne and husband, Craig Bull, Jeanine, Katie and Jeffrey, brothers, Terry and Dennis, and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was the center of our family, our rock and our and inspiration. Marlene had many passions and hobbies: her family, her wonderful friends, travel, baking, reading, sports (especially the49ers and A's), trips to Lake Tahoe and Mickey Mouse. She lived her life truly grateful for every day "One Day at a Time." Friends are invited to a celebration of her life on Saturday, November 24th at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Church, 3433 Somerset Avenue, CV. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Spectrum Center (Autism Program) 6325 Camden St., Oakland, CA 94605.

Maryanne and Craig,
I'm so sorry to hear of your Mom's death. I'm sure yestesrday had to be a tough day for all of you,but from the sound of it, you have alot to be thankful for in your relationship with you. I won't be able to attend the services as I have family in town and we had preset plans, but I'll be thinking of you and your family.
