Megan Sandra Mishork Dec. 14, 1983 - July 17, 2011 Resident of Fairfield, CA Megan Sandra Mishork, 27, of Fairfield, passed away Sunday at Northbay Medical Center in Fairfield. She was born in Vallejo, CA. Megan graduated from Mission Viejo High School and attended Cal State Fullerton majoring in Drama. She worked at Anchor Blue for 3 years, retiring in 2008. After diagnosis, Megan began her journey of awareness for ALS. She went to Washington to speak to Congressmen, and became involved with the ALS Association Orange County Chapter. Doing many speaking engagements to bring awareness, she was an Ambassador for the Young Faces of ALS, putting herself out there to let people know that this is no longer a "Grandpa Disease". She wrote a blog"Gimp Girl Adventures putting humor to her daily struggle with this illness. Preceded in death by her father, Jeff Mishork. She leaves to cherish many treasured memories of her life: her boyfriend, Jason Hayward; her mother, Linda Mishork Bracciotti; her step-father, Paul Bracciotti; her sister, Nicole Bracciotti; her brother Michael Mishork; along with numerous grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, July 23rd, 2011 at 1pm at St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, 1200 Tuolumne Street, Vallejo, CA, 94591.
