"Father Mesrob"
Is the church full now?
Did everyone make it on time?
Did everyone find parking?
Legs uncrossed,
And grown men living with their mothers,
Help carry baked goods from home to car,
From car to home.
Who would smile today?
Who would know this strong love?
Called him to the pulpit,
Drew him away from money matters,
Stocks and bonds...
His voice seemingly cracking,
The hard incased...
Dragging human plights...
"Be good to each other" and "Do not gossip"
Hear this, as back is turned, and
Wonder at the lights accompanying "the Maria"
"Come more often"
"Visit over tea and cake"
Remember what he said,
Remember in prayers,
And work hard towards knowing
God in your heart...

Father Mesrob's passing was probably one of the most devastating news my husband Ray and I received. He was a Der Hayr we wanted to keep as long as we lived. It was impossible not to love him. Some of his advises have become our daily practices.
Our hearts go out to his family at this time and in the days ahead
