April, Marcus and Mike,
Remember all the great times you had with him. Lean and draw near to God in this time and He will help you get through this. Weeping may last for a night but joy comes in the morning. Ps. 30:5 So let the joy of the Lord be your strength!

Dear Dad,
I want to start by saying I LOVE YOU! You were a blessing to me and it hurt my heart deeply to see you go. It was in god’s hands to take you away but you’re taken to a better place and much safer place. You will forever be in my heart and never forgotten about. I can’t stop thinking about your smile and the love you gave to me as a father. You took me in and loved me as if I was one of your own and I want to thank you for that. Life will be hard without you but I promise to be as strong as I can for you.
Love always your daughter
Theresa
To my sister and brothers,
April, Marcus, and Mike my backbones, my friends, and my heart, I love you guys more then anything and I’m here for you if there is anything you might need. I know this is a hard time for you guys but you have to be strong for one another. Dad will be so proud of how we stick together and are there for each other in time of need. He also loves us and wants us to be strong for him as well as for our self. Life will sometimes be hard without him but we must live for him. Once again I love you guys and your baby sis is always here.
Love always your sister

April, Marcus & Mike,
No bond is as great as that between a parent and child. My deepest condolences are with you as you grieve. Mother Harris and to the rest of the Davis family my condolences and prayers our with you.
No words can ever describe the feeling when you lose someone so very precious and dear. We serve a mighty and AWESOME God, and know that he will give you comfort where words cannot touch.
May the power of our Lord and his Holy Word continue to comfort, give you strength and peace in this time of sorrow.
I will continue to keep the family lifted in prayer.
I found Psalms 121:1-8 to be very comforting during these times.
1 I lift up my eyes to the hills-- where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot slip-- he who watches over you will not slumber;
4 Indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The LORD watches over you-- the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
6 The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
7 The LORD will keep you from all harm -- he will watch over your life;
8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
Below is a very comforting Poem.
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
