My wife-to-be and I met Mike while attending MSU in the late 60’s. We partied, went on many, many camping trips together, and always had a good time. He was also one of the grooms for me at our wedding in December of 1970. He was highly energetic, funny, and just a nice person to have around and be with. We will miss him and we both give our deepest sympathies to the families for this great loss to you. He was such a nice person and a loving father to his children and to Gloria.

Dear Gloria, we haven't met but I worked with Mike at Amdahl for several years. He will always remain to me as a man who had a smile for everyone, always upbeat and a joy to work with. Always perky with a bounce in his step, made you feel good about being around him.

Your pain in his leaving must be hard. My thoughts are with you, and if you ever want to escape our door is always open if you wish to come and stay for a while. Just email and let us know.

Paul Ellis had kindly kept several of us updated on Mike's battle with this terrible illness, as well as the support of you and his family during this very trying and painful time. Thank you Paul.

My God keep you in his arms and hold you close through this next step in your life. Our thoughts are with you.

Gloria,

I have always been amazed at how positive Mike was in his approach to everything. Talking with him and seeing him over the last 21 months has made me realize even more what an incredibly strong and courageous man he was. His determination and positive outlook was an inspiration to all. He will surely be missed by all who had the opportunity to know him as a friend. My thoughts and prayers continue for all the family.
