Paul passed away peacefully at home on his and his loving wife Jan's 65th wedding anniversary.
Paul was born and grew up in Oakland, and served 3 years in the Navy during WWII. He earned a B.S at UC Berkeley, a Masters at University of Colorado, and enjoyed 30 years of teaching Biology & Chemistry at Las Lomas High School. He loved spending time with his family and was an avid runner & cyclist. Besides Jan, Paul is survived by his devoted children Sheri Slattery (Marty), Cyndi Forige (Mike), Jeff Simons (Cynthia), Kathy Simons (Jeff), 4 grand & 4 great grandchildren. Friends & family are invited to a celebration of Paul's life on Saturday Sept.17,2016 1pm. Walnut Creek United Methodist Church 1543 Sunnyvale Ave. Walnut Creek, CA (925) 934-4208.
