Peter Raine Obituary

Peter James Raine
February 26, 1949-October 17, 2016
Benicia
Peter passed away October 17 from cancer. He was born in Lachine, Canada to the late Sidney and Pearl. Peter was a 30 year employee of AT&T where he made many friends. Peter loved music he was a bass player with his childhood friends in the band "The Plague". He loved sports especially his 49ers,Giants, and Warriors. Peter loved to laugh and have a good time, nothing made him happier than having his music on while barbequing his favorite steak and talking about his favorite subject cars! But most of all Peter loved his family, he is survived by his wife Jessica, children Matt, Sabrina and Samantha, sister Carol and many nieces, nephews in-laws and friends who loved him dearly. Peter had a huge heart and we will miss him forever. A celebration of life will be held January 21 11am at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Benicia.

I just want to say on this update dated 11/25/19 that you are still with me, I think of you often, I carry you with me when I play music, and brother, you would not BELIEVE how well your Niners are doing this year! Oh by the way I totally forgive you for all the trouble you got me into when we were kids.....ok MAYBE it was my fault too. Love and miss you Pete! ps. Pete is on the right in this photo of his band from 2012.

I was devastated to hear of Peter's passing. Fortunately he was at the Chabot-Claremont reunion a few years ago. He looked so good! Will miss him terribly. RIP Peter!

Pete, you were like a brother to me, we were best friends all through school, we taught each other to play guitar, and when we reestablished our friendship again in 2008 it's the first thing we started doing again. Our little band Laughing Sal brought me hours of joy and our restored friendship became one of the most important things in my life. I miss you every day and I will continue to do so, I thank my maker that you came back into my life and I will cherish the good times we had forever.
