Each time I enter the SP Automotive store on the corner of San Pablo Ave & Van Ness in San Pablo, there is a constant reminder of this warm and caring man posted on the front door of the business.
Still having a hard time accepting that he is gone but at least we all have the comfort of knowing he is in a much better place and one day will be reunited with him.

RIP old friend...

Bob was my "second brother." I will miss him greatly and we all wish he had more time here. His kindnesses were many, and he left his mark on this world with his smile, his laugh, and his attitude of giving. God bless you Lois and family. --Debi (Peck) Trefz

Bob and I met at a bus stop waiting to go to our first day in kindergarten in 1956. We caught ourselves admiring each other's lunch boxes. We hit it off right away and shared the rest of our days through high school as best of friends. I am still in shock at the news of his sudden passing and feel a deep sense of loss that I cannot shake. Bob and his sister Lois are in my thoughts and prayers.

I was blind sided with the sad news of Bobs passing. I have known Bob from De Anza high school. We had class together going back to seventh grade. He had helped me though out the years at SP Auto..I knew I could count on Bob when I needed parts for my Trucking Company...He was my go to guy and he was true to his word every time! He was always understanding a quality that made him above everyone else, but he played it off like it was just his job! So sorry for his families lost. He truly will be missed. Bobs memories will live on in our Hearts!

I worked with Bob for 31 years.. we became very good friends right away. Joyce Bob and I use to celebrate our birthdays together. I have alot of fond memories of those dinners. I am so sorry to Lois and her family, we are all deeply saddened by Bobs passing her at work.
S.P. Automotive will never be the same.
Rest in peace friend.

I am still in a state of shock after receiving the phone call of Bob's passing from my brother Billy.
Bob was my go to guy anytime I ever needed parts from San Pablo Automotive, I will never forget his kindness or the great patience he displayed locating parts for me when no one else could.
Bob had many great assets, one of which was his infectious smile combined with his great sense of humor.
The world is a bit sadder today without him yet I know within my heart he is in a greater place free of all pain and suffering and looking down upon us who he left behind.

My Sympathies to Bob's family and the many friends he left behind, our lives are much better for having him as part of our lives.

God Speed my friend, you will not be forgotten.

I'll always remember those high school, college and post college days with the gang and our rides to nowhere. I still tell people how special that time was. As Sandy said and I agreed, he was a good man and a great friend. You will be missed. Pat Boardman Coleman
