Ron Dallimonti Obituary

Ron Dallimonti
August 16, 2020
Resident of Walnut Creek
Ron Dallimonti entered into eternal life on 8/16 at the Brun's House, due to rapidly diminishing dementia. He was born to the late Remo & Rita Dallimonti in San Francisco where he attended high school at St. Ignatius. He then went to college at Cal, where he became a lifelong Bears fan!
Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Christy. Also by his children, Lindy (Ryan), and Ramey, along with his two beautiful grandsons. He also leaves behind his sister Janice, extended family, and a multitude of friends.
Ron and Christy worked together at their restaurant, Dallimonti's, for 33 years, where he brought people together over drinks, music, food & friendship. His love, smile, laughter, generosity and deep appreciation of music will live on through his children & grandchildren. We know that he is now in Heaven singing with the angels!

I was very saddened to learn of Ron's passing. He was such a warm, thoughtful, and generous person. I spent many hours at his fun bar/restaurant after playing basketball, for a special occasion, or just hanging out with friends. So happy to have known him. My deep sympathy to his family.

Christy, Ramey and Lindy:
I will forever remember Ron's soft voice, charming personality, upbeat energy and ALWAYS-WILLING mentality for lending his hand or ear. I was fortunate and lucky enough to be welcomed into your family through swimming, relentless hangout sessions, hallway soccer, Cal Bear games, dinners at the restaurant and the wonderful trips to your cabin. Ron was everywhere, whether it was seeing him help out at swim meets, biking around Walnut Creek or being friendly to anyone he ran into. Growing up, Ron was another father figure for how much time I got to spend with him. I want to thank you for allowing me to be part of your family and allowing me to spend time with Ron. Ron was a beautiful man and will live on as a true symbol of compassion. He was SO proud of his family and I will always remember the comfort he provided, wearing a straw hat, neck-hanging timer and all. What a time we had. I'm so saddened to hear Ron is no longer with us, physically; but his impact will be impossible to forget. Love you all.

Christy,
Mike and I wanted to express our deepest condolences. We have such fond memories of going to the restaurant and the bar. Ron introduced Mike and Eric to his famous “Micheloggi” drink during one of the many nights at the bar. He will forever be in our hearts.

You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
RIP -Ron!

Such a beautiful ceremony remembering (but never forgetting Ron) today. Lindy and Ramey...just have grown up so wonderfully but with those parents it’s was a no-brained.
I remember the very first time I met him 36 years ago with Kristi and the very last time I talked to him at the voting place with Kristi.
Little did I know when we first met that he would be treating me ongoing like royalty. My Stroke and Turn Mentor who always said to me when he saw me anywhere “Jav, Your the Man” with a fist bump. We shed a tear together at the bar and he made me feel so comfortable.
Ron, you really were the Man all the time

Christy, I'm so sorry to hear of Ron's passing. He was such a great guy and we have so many fond memories of family dinners at the restaurant. My folks were regulars up until you closed and always loved listening to the music and having a cocktail with you guys. You all are in our thoughts and sending you love and comfort.

I would have never met my husband 29 years ago if it wasn't for Dallimonti's restaurant. Had a lot of wonderful times, great music to listen to and good food. Ron always had a smile and was always so cheerful. Thank you for the memories Ron and Christy.

Ron was a super person and a true gentleman. I Was lucky enough to tend bar with him back in the 70's. He was the best bartender I ever saw. He could put a smile on a room full of people a entire night with jokes and song and oh yeah - With class.

There are certain people that come into your life and you are a better person because of it. Ron was that kind of person. He always treated me with kindness and respect. I am deeply saddened by his passing and my love and thoughts go out to his family

I met Ron when I worked for Toscana/Colombo and serviced his restaurant. He was always friendly and understanding to me, and later in the years I was able to reconnect with Ron through service, again with my new company. R.I.P. Paisan. Bless you, Christy for all your hard work.

Christy, We were sad when you and Ron sold the restaurant, we are even sadder that he has now left you and his family. We had many great dinners at your restaurant, we loved the staff, owners and so many memorable meals.
Know that Ron is going to be missed by a great many people. We know he is no longer suffering and has earned his well deserved spot in Heaven.

Andy Chantri and family.
