Resident of Fremont
KARLIN, RONALD born March 3, 1933, died June 15, 2011 after a brave battle with Parkinson's. Survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Barbara Karlin; children Gary (Kim), David (Penny) and Diane Salaz (Benny); sisters Joan Worthington and Ardynne O'Donnall, and brother Ricardo Cavallera. Grandfather of Brandon, Austin, Casandra, Steven, Hunter, Christina, Alyssa, Jasmine, Sarah, and Shawna; great-grandfather of two.
Ron was born in Alameda, attended St. Mary's in Moraga and graduated from Albany High School. He later served in the U.S. Army. In 1989 he retired from Western Electric after 30 years of service. Ron was an avid Raiders fan, loved playing cards, enjoyed watching wrestling and had a passion for classic cars. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and family, and we will cherish our memories of Ron forever.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, June 20th from 4:00 - 8:00 PM with the vigil service at 7:00 p.m. held at Berge-Pappas-Smith Chapel of the Angels, 40842 Fremont Blvd, Fremont, CA.
Resurrection service will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 21st held at the mortuary.

Ron was an exceptionally nice guy, good-willed & kind-hearted, would help you out even if you asked him to do something imprudent...You can't replace people like him, you just count yourself lucky to have known him..
