Ruby Valencia Cortez Resident of Oakley Ruby Valencia Cortez, 32 years old, was united with God in Heaven at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 25, 2007, at her residence in Oakley, CA. She was born on March 5, 1975 in Pampanga, Philippines. Ruby is a beautiful woman, full of life, who lived her life always caring for others. She's the best wife, friend, sister, cousin, and auntie to all of us. She's a lady who loves to give joy to all of us, her family and friends. She shows her love through her singing, wrapping of presents, occasional surprises to all her nieces and nephews, or just simply listening and giving advice for her family or friends. She is survived by her husband, Ferdinand Cortez; her parents, Agustin and Eufracia; her sisters, Lydia, Marites, Annette and Marife; and her brother, Noel. Other survivors are her nieces, Joyce, Jean, Camille and Juliana; nephews, Jandel, Richard, Ralph, Jr., Patrick, Nian and Paolo. She's also well loved by the Valencia, Cortez, Cuenco, David, Cancio, Capili, and Serrano families. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, June 29, 2007, and from 1-7 p.m. on Sunday, July 1, with a Vigil at 5 p.m., at Ouimet Bros. Concord Funeral Chapel, 4125 Clayton Road, Concord. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2007, at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, 5562 Clayton Road, Concord. Ouimet Bros. Chapel (925) 682-4242
