Ruby June Mello

RUBY JUNE MELLO, at home in Redwood City on September 19, 2001 at the age of 73. Ruby was born May 28, 1928 in Springfield, Missouri. She came to California in 1942, and graduated from Sequoia High School in 1946. On September 8, 1946 she married Gilbert E. Mello. He preceded her in death in 1989. She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and reading novels. Beloved mother of Gilbert D. Mello of Redwood City; Dennis P. Mello of San Jose; Shelladie A. Anderson of Folsom, CA and Justine E. Mello of Fremont. She was also the loving grandmother of five granddaughters, and two grandsons. Her family has asked that Memorial Contributions be directed to the American Cancer Society, for Breast Cancer Research. She will rest with Gilbert at Skylawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of the Woodside Chapel of Crippen and Flynn.
