Mr. Decker was my 6th grade teacher. He was always the nicest guy. I remember him reading us books in class and always stopping on a cliffhanger. Great guy!

My condolences to Nina and the Decker family. I had the pleasure of teaching with Steve at Madison for nearly a decade. He was 100% supportive, made me laugh each day at lunch where he mostly talked about his daughter Nina. His love and pride for his daughter was immense. He was a rock for me when I successfully battled breast cancer. Will never forget him. RIP Steve.

Dear Nina, so sorry to hear about your dad. He was an inspiration to his students and loved teaching. I worked with him for several years at Highlands ....he had a great sense of humor! More than anything....he loved you and was so proud of your many accomplishments ! I hope the happy memories you shared with your dad will be a comfort to you.

Dear Nina, I am so sad for your loss. Your Dad's passion was teaching, but you were #1. I know you will have many fond memories of him, as those of us do that taught with him at Highlands. He brought laughter to us all. His memories will live on.
