Thomas Steiner Resident of Lafayette Beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend, died peacefully on October 30, 2008. Tom ran the Bay-to-Breakers for many years, travelled extensively, enjoyed Texas Hold'em, big rodeos, and target shooting. He leaves his wife Lou Ann; sons Thad and Zack; his daughter MacKenzie Neville; son-in-law Shane Neville; and three grandchildren, Alexis, Owen, and Nathan, as well as three step-grandchildren, Ryan, Reno, and Preslie. He also leaves a brother, Fred; two sisters, Sister Therese and Myrl; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to family members, friends, and neighbors for their loving care, support and prayers. We give special thanks to the staff at Kaiser Hospital, W.C., Kaiser Hospice and Better Living's caregiver, Aranda. A celebration of Tom's life will be held in early 2009. Dear Lou Ann and family,

We are so very saddened to hear of your loss. Though we did not know Tom, in knowing you a little as we do, we can only imagine that he must have been one terrific guy. You are a woman of exceptional grace, strength and compassion, Lou Ann, who has not only provided us with great compassion, guidence and loving support, but has through your own example inspired us to move toward the light. We will forever be grateful for the lifeline that you have given to us. Please know that our prayers are with you and your family.

Fondly,
