Timothy T. Hubbard

Our beloved husband, dad, Papa and friend passed away peacefully on June 22, 2023. He was a few months shy of his 90th birthday and lived a long and interesting lifea very good life!Tim grew up in Arizona and attended school there, completing a degree in accounting from the University of Arizona. While in college, he was in the ROTC program, and upon graduation, he joined the Army. After serving overseas in Germany with the 709th tank Battalion 3rd Armored Division, he was honorably discharged. Tim was very proud of his service and loved sharing stories of driving tanks and enduring survival training.After his Army years, Tim joined Standard Oil, initially working at a service station and pumping gas. After several years and many promotions, Tim retired as an executive senior safety engineer. He then extended his career as an independent contractor and eventually completed a long and productive 39-year career in the oil industry.Tim married his first wife and together they had a daughter and three sons. Upon marrying his loving wife Kathie, he gained another daughter. All five of his children loved growing up with Tim as their father. They played sports, nurtured many family pets, and were always supported with love and guidance from their dad as they participated in childhood activities.In retirement, Tim golfed, was a member of SIRS Branch 116, and he enjoyed participating in an investment club. He was passionate about reading, politics, baseball, basketball, and studying and trading stocks. He was never happier than while working in his beautiful yard and raking leaves. He was a wonderful grandfather, and never missed an opportunity to listen to the adventures of his 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Tim is survived by his wife, Kathie, children Pam (Jeff), Trace (Sandra), Brad (Debbie) Bonnie (Michael), sister Lauri, nieces Eppie, Gillian, Alison, Son-in Law Tom (John),13 grandchildren Clark, Janae, Alyssa, Katy, Michael, Noah, Matthew, Dominick, Emilia, Isabella, Arlo, Mary, Maxine and one great grandson, Casey.He is preceded in death by his son, Ted and his parents, Harriet and Gaston.Please join us to honor Tim at a Memorial Celebration on Monday 07/24/2023 at 11am, Oakmont Memorial Park and Mortuary, 2099 Reliz Valley Road, LafayetteLuncheon immediately following details to be given at Memorial Celebration.The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to the American Heart Association.
