Victoria Gallegos Obituary

Victoria Gallegos
April 18, 1951-
November 3, 2021
Resident of Danville, CA
Victoria Jean Gallegos, a faithful wife, mother, and business owner died November 3, 2021, due to heart failure. She was 70.
In her youth in Hayward, Victoria excelled in school, tailored all her own clothes, sang in the choir, and danced. She started her career in accounting at 16, when she took on her neighbor's books for his local motor company. This led her to continued accounting jobs, one in which she met the love of her life, Joe Gallegos. They moved to Fremont, owned Container Decorating, a silk-screening company, and raised their children Deana and Todd. After her children were grown, she made Danville her home.
Victoria was gifted in all things creative. She could grace pages of paper with calligraphy. She could stitch a quilt or a dress with the same ease. She had impeccable decorating style. Hosted exquisite dinner parties in her home with ornate table settings. In her thirties, she learned to play the piano as her love for music was insatiable, and spent many Friday nights in San Francisco watching Broadway Shows.
Victoria is best known to her friends and family as a loyal, attentive, understanding, and loving woman. She was godmother to so many of her nieces and nephews, who all looked up to her as a confidant. She was best friends to her granddaughters, who adored her and her them. She would share her wisdom and advice with them all, as easily as she shared her love.
In addition to Joe, her husband of 52 years, Victoria is survived by her two children Deana and Todd, her two granddaughters, Lexi and Brittany, and her brother Gordon.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 20th at 10:00 am in the chapel at Community Presbyterian Church, 222 W. El Pintado Danville, CA.
In lieu of flowers, we ask for donations to the National Alliance of Mental Illness(NAMI) in her name.

We are still in shock over the passing of Aunt Vicki. She had so much love in her that we all should try and continue to share. We will never forget her beautiful Christmas table display, her fun smile and laugh and the enduring listening quality she had.

Nice to know all the things Vicky was interested in. I remember that she started our neighborhood Couples Bunco Group, 25 years ago. Fun times.
