Walter C. Motta Jr. Jan. 20, 1938 - Dec. 26, 2003 Walter Motta Jr. our beloved brother, father, grandfather, and friend, went home peacefully to heaven on Friday morning December 26, 2003 after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his father Walter C. Motta Sr. and mother Alberta I. Motta. He was 65 years old. Walt was a native and life long resident born in
Livermore, CA at St. Paul's Hospital on January 20, 1938. He was raised in a family of 3 children, attended Livermore High School and then San Jose State University. He graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management. During college, he was a brother of the Alpha Tau Omega and active member of the Alpha Tau Omega Foundation. After college, he went to work for his father Walter Sr. who owned the Livermore Builder Supply for over 45 years on Railroad Avenue and eventually became partner and a local business owner. After the closing of Livermore Builder Supply, he worked as a Branch Manager for Rhodes and Jamieson for 10 years. He was a Treasurer and Director for many years at the Livermore Stockman's Rodeo Association. Walt was an avid hunter and outdoorsman along with antique collecting and woodworking equipment. Walt is survived by his son, Walter "Chuck" Motta III, his wife Minda and children, Jessica and Monica of Discovery Bay, CA, His brother Peter Motta and family of Half Moon Bay, CA., and his sister Valeta Motta Leo and family of San Diego, CA. Walt touched many lives with his gentle spirit and positive outlook on life. Each day brings us memories of our time together and time lost. You are never far from our hearts, though broken they may be. We will never forget the finest times of your life with us and how your magic touched us all. Oh, how much we love you and will miss you.
