Wayne Elroy Crown

Wayne Elroy Crown 9/22/1919 - 3/1/2005 Wayne Elroy Crown was born to Joseph and Ethel Crown in Agra, Kansas where he resided until he was drafted into the army in 1941. He moved his family to Concord in 1955 where he began a career with the US Postal Service. He was a founding member of the Concord branch of the National Association of Letter Carriers and one of the first presidents of that union. Wayne is survived by his daughter, JoAnne Crown Rogers (Dennis); grandchildren, Lori Lawhon (Gary), Jennifer Jones (Jason), Christina Crown and Ross Crown; great-grandchildren, Kahler and Bethany Lawhon and Amy and Caleb Jones; sisters, Esther Stallings, Dorothy Davis and Darlene Davis, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Ross Dean Crown; brother, Dale Crown; and sisters, Evelyn Haining and Opal Lagmay. Graveside services will be held in Agra, Kansas on March 29, 2005.
