GARY WAKEMAN was an outstanding & active member of the VietNam Veterans of Diablo Valley and will be greatly missed by the membership. He along with others who have served and currently serve our great nation... did so with great honor. Our thoughts and prayers are with his mother Bonnie and all family members during this extremely difficult time. Gary will be honored and remembered at the VNVDV's January 3rd meeting at Crow Canyon Country Club at 1700. Gary served with pride and honor in VietNam and afterwards in our community service with the VNVDV. He will never be forgotten.

I grew up with Gary, and spent my high school years hanging out at his house and with him. We were in a car club, worked on an old dragster, and cruised the Main in Walnut Creek. Weekends we hung out at Mels drive in. Though I haven't seen Gary in 25 years, I have pleasant thoughts of him and feel a loss.
