WINNIE MAE AUGUSTA Resident of Oakland Born in Gonzales, LA on October 12, 1922 to Eve and Frazier. She attended schools in Gonzales, LA. She was married twice in New Orleans, LA. From these unions were born (1) son, Lawrence LeBlanc Jr. and (3) daughters, Shirley Catherine, Barbara Neal, and Wanda Augusta-Gaines. She departed this life on Thursday, August 17, 2006, and was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence LeBlanc Sr., her second husband, Vernon Augusta, and her oldest daughter, Shirley Catherine. She leaves to mourn in her passing 3 children, 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Services held Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at Fouche's Hudson, 3665 Telegraph Ave., 7-8 p.m. Funeral Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at St. Columba Catholic Church, 6401 San Pablo, Oakland 10 a.m.

Wanda, our hearts go out to you and the family. I know exactly how you feel, having experienced this same event just 7 months. You mother was a sweet and friendly person. She will be surely missed.
