Bobby Ray Burch

1936 - 2023

Bobby Ray Burch, age 86, went home on April 21, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Living Stones Church of the Nazarene, 1800 Norris, Clovis, NM 88101.
Bob was born on September 26, 1936, in Clovis, NM to Fred E. Burch and Ida B. Forbes Burch. He attended Melrose Schools, Bethany Nazarene College, and Pasadena Nazarene College. He joined the USAF in 1956 and served in Hawaii and the Philippines. He then returned to Clovis, NM and began working with his father Fred E. Burch at Sasser Real Estate. He teamed up with Dean Eldridge and founded Town and Country Real Estate and became a legendary realtor throughout NM.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Burch, his sons William Jeffrey, and Timothy Sean. He is survived by his brother Bill (Jan) Burch of Sun City, AZ, and his sister Marge (Lee) Heibel of Tulsa, OK. He had five stepchildren, Tisha (Zane) Brothers, Rusty Aucutt, Deanna (Cody) Vardeman, Brian (Jamie) Smith, and Becky Smith Worrell. He enjoyed 9 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Greggory Ray Burch in 1996, as well as his parents, Fred and Ida Burch and a baby sister, Barbara. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Clovis, NM all his life. He served on the church board and on many committees for many years.
He served as President of the NM Realtor Association and brought the State Convention to Clovis in 1970. He was active in Kiwanis.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023, from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Muffley Funeral Home, 1430 Thornton St. Clovis, NM.
