Carlos Angelo Tapia

1980 - 2021

Mass of the Resurrection for Carlos Tapia, 41, of Portales will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, May 7, 2021, at St. Helen Catholic Church with Fr. Francisco Carbajal officiating.  A Rosary will be prior to the Mass at 9:00 A.M. at St. Helen Catholic Church.  Burial will follow in the Portales Cemetery with Adam Tapia, Joel Aranda, Estevan Tapia, Mario Montoya, Espirion Moscarra and Juan Modesto Garcia serving as pallbearers.  Mike Lego, Justin Banks, Jeremy Southern, Johnny Tapia, Severo Tapia, Jr., Victor Martinez and Joe Montoya, Jr. will be honorary pallbearers.
Carlos Angelo Tapia was born on January 2, 1980, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to the home of Julia (Rubio) Tapia and Charlie Robert Tapia, and died on May 2, 2021, in Portales.   Carlos graduated from Portales High School in 1999. He loved to listen to music and go to concerts.  He was a kind hearted person who loved children.  He enjoyed spending time with all of his family. 
Carlos is survived by his mother, Julia Tapia; his brother, Robert Anthony Tapia; his nieces & nephews, Estevan Tapia, Adam Tapia, Tatianna Tapia, Makayla Tapia and Ahnika Tapia, and cousins, Yvette Tapia and Abel Mirabel.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Tapia, and a cousin, Freddy Mirabel.
