Diana Rios

Funeral services for Diana Rios, 45, of Portales, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 21, 2023, at the Wheeler Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Don Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Portales Cemetery with Ralph England, Angelo Garcia, Jake Hirt, Jesse Saenz, Joe Saenz, Jess Gossett and Santiago Ornelas serving as pallbearers.
Diana Rios was born on February 25, 1977, in Clovis, New Mexico to the home of Manuela "Nellie" (Saenz) and Guadalupe Rios and died on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, in Portales.
Diana was raised in Lovington and attended High School there until 1993 when she moved to Portales. She graduated from Portales High School in 1995. She was a cheerleader at PHS and also was May Pole Queen in 1995. She was well known and loved by all of her friends. She had joined the U.S. Air Force in 1995. Diana loved sports and the outdoors, including fishing, skiing, camping and running. She was loved by all of her family and will be greatly missed.
Diana is survived by her mother & step father, Manuela & Ralph England; her brother, Angelo Garcia & Amanda Hirt; her sister, Adriana Gonzales & Nancy; her step-brother, Bobby England & Brandi; her nephews, Andrew Baltazar, C.J. Haas, Brayden Haas, Luke Garcia and Jake Hirt, and her nieces, Nicole Martinez, Nevaeh Baltazar, J-Lynn Haas and Mia Hirt.
She was preceded in death by her father, Guadalupe Rios and her second niece, Baby Navi.
