Jace Garrett Wilhite

1980 - 2016

Jace Garrett Wilhite, 36 of Clovis, NM passed away at his home, May 13, 2016. A Memorial Service will be 10:30 am May 20, 2016, at W. 21st Street Church of Christ in Clovis, NM, 1720 W. 21st Street.
Jace was born on January 22, 1980, in Portales, NM to Kenny and Darlene Wilhite. He was deeply loved and cherished by his entire family. Jace attended Clovis High School where he graduated in 1998; while there he enjoyed and excelled in sports. He was active in the Generals 4-H club and FFA showing livestock. After high school he attended Abilene Christian University and Colorado State University where he played football. Jace was a very compassionate, tenderhearted and caring young man, he loved and respected the elderly and truly enjoyed spending time with them. He spent much of his time helping his grandparents and neighbors with any household chores etc. He also loved and deeply cared for his two sons; his parents and his brother's family. He truly enjoyed the outdoors, mountains, hiking, hunting and fishing. Jace knew his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and we are comforted that he is covered by His grace and mercy.
Jace is preceded in death by grandfather, Bob Wilhite; cousins, Nancy Wilhite and Selena Wilhite.
He is survived by parents, Kenny and Darlene Wilhite; his sons, Gatlin and Noxon Wilhite; brother, Jarod and Megan Wilhite and their children, Kyan, Remy and Evan; grandparents, Raymond and Wanda Falks; and grandmother, Nadine Wilhite; aunts and uncles, Robert and Lori Wilhite, Kathy Painter, Bill Wilhite, Donny Falks, Dean and Sandi Falks, Ray and Donna Montoya, and Carey and Diana Garland; long with numerous cousins.
