Jim Gilbert, 68 went home to be the Lord on November 21, 2015, after extended illness.

Jim is survived by his sisters, Ann Savory, Garland, Texas, and Janet Daniels (Brad), Gold Canyon, AZ. He leaves behind in loving memory, nieces, Brenda (Jerry) Young, Krista (Vernon) Jones, Melissa Moore and nephew, Chris (Sarah) Daniels; and great nieces/nephews, aunt and several cousins.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother.
Jim graduated from CHS and was a member of FFA. He learned to drive a John Deere tractor and pickup on the farm at about nine. Jim loved the land and farming. He was active in FFA and had farmed in his young adult life. In addition to the family farm and Jim worked for various local farmers before venturing out together with his brother in farming. Jim was a very generous person and liked to give people a helping hand. He and was loved by his family and friends and he will be missed.
A special thanks to Jan McIntosh and Justin Starbuck who so kindly assisted him during his medical challenges and also to those who had been caretakers.
Memorial services are still pending and will be held at a later time. Assisting the family in arrangements is Steed-Todd Funeral Home.#Home.
