Saundra Beard Obituary
She was preceded by her parents; one son; and one brother.
Survivors include one daughter, Stephanie (Anthony) Wilson, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; two grandchildren; three sisters, Barbara Mason, of St. Louis, Mo., Rhoda Poindexter, of Chicago, Ill. and Roberta Mason of New York; and an aunt, Hosea Peeples, Chicago, Ill.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006, at Faith Christian Family Church, with Pastor Maurice Monson officiating.

My heart and sympathy goes out the family and daughter of Saundra Beard. Saundra Beard assisted in raising me and was like a mother in many aspects. Her daughter Stephanie is and will always be close to my heart and soul, so I feel and share her grief. Ms. Beard was a strong woman who did the best with what life dealt her. Her relentless efforts to overcome may have been unconventional at times, but those of us who knew her also understood where her heart was. Ms. Beard at this time of her going home will be missed in the physical but will always be present in sprit.
