Twilla Jo Fawn Rudd Kos 55, of Texico, NM died Saturday, September 2, 2017, at her home. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, September 4, 2017, at The Chapel, 1500 Thornton.
Twilla was born December 21, 1961, in Clovis, NM to L.J. Rudd and Freida Meeks. She attended high school in Sudan, TX and graduated from Monzano High School in Albuquerque in 1979. She then started college the first semester after graduating high school. Twilla earned her Associate degree in Art from University of New Mexico. Then in 1985, she earned her Bachelors in Science degree from Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, NM. She went on to pursue a certification as a X-Ray technician, as well as becoming an EMT in 1995. Twilla was always wanting to further her education so she went on to achieve her stenographer certification in 2009.
Twilla is survived by her husband; Mark Kos of Texico, NM, father; L.J. Rudd of Earth, TX, mother; Freida Meeks of Texico, NM, two brothers; Dale Rudd and wife Debbie of Brownfield, TX, and Kenneth Rudd and wife April of Bryan TX, two sisters; Crystal McDaniel and husband Lynn of Texico, NM, and Sandy Womble and husband Dudley of Midland, TX, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins that were all near and dear to Twilla. Family was one of the most important things in life to Twilla besides Mark.
Twilla was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents; Earnest "Buck" and Novella Rudd, and maternal grandparents; Cleve and May Meeks.
We would like to express our utmost gratitude to all the caregivers: Selma Harrington, Mary Jean "MJ" Willard, Berta Salazar, Faith Smith, Paula Ashley, Johanna Mesman, Marcy Kos, and Freida Meeks. They helped Twilla sustain the last, very tough three and a half years. We would not have made it through these last few years without each and everyone of you and cannot express to you enough how thankful we are for you.
