Funeral services for Dr. Bruce Miewald, M.D., 68, of Galveston, Texas, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 2025, at the Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow.
Burial will follow at Redland Cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Dr. Miewald was born on Dec. 13, 1956, in Portland, Ore., to Romona Jean (Cron) Miewald and John Ross Miewald. He passed away on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025.
He dedicated his life to medicine and was a valued mentor and advisor to many younger doctors throughout his career.
He married Heather Elaine Jones on April 3, 2020, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
Survivors are his wife, Heather Jones of the home; two sons, Alex Miewald of Coeur d'Alene and Ross Miewald of Missoula, Mont.; two step-daughters, Avonlee and Ava Nix of the home; three brothers, David Miewald and Michelle of Missoula, Donald Miewald and Tonya of Seattle, Wash., and John Miewald of San Diego, Calif.; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents
Pallbearers will be Alex Miewald, Ross Miewald, Michael Miewald, Don Miewald and Dave Miewald.
