Jerry Cearley Obituary
July 15, 1952 - July 12, 2025
Jerry Douglas 'Doug' Cearley, 72, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025. He as born on July 15, 1952, in Young County, Texas, to Mary Belle Grisham Cearley and Allen Douglas Cearley.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Graham, Texas.
Mr. Cearley graduated from Graham High School in 1970, and received his associate and bachelor's degrees from Midwestern State University. He was a pumper, roughneck, driller, geologist, petrophysicist, operator, pipeliner and company man. He was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors are his wife, Linda; daughter, Sunny and husband Adam Brooks; son, Spencer and wife Casie; two granddaughters; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, James Everett Douglas Cearley.
Memorials in his honor may be made to the Texas Right to Life Coalition.

I knew Doug in high school and considered him a good friend. After high school I joined the Navy and we lost track of each other. He was a good friend then and I'm sure he was a great person his entire life. I regret not getting to know him as an adult.
