Tommy Dale Shropshire
Nov. 13, 1951 – July 13, 2025

Funeral services for Tommy Dale Shropshire, 73, were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Brushy Holiness Church. Burial followed at Brushy Cemetery, under the direction of Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home of Wetumka.
Mr. Shropshire was born on Nov. 13, 1951, in Sallisaw, to Dewey and Audrey Shropshire. He passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025.
He was a 1970 graduate of Sallisaw High School and attended classes at Oklahoma Baptist University. He was a Southern Baptist pastor, pastoring in the local communities of Notchietown, Gore, Muskogee, Vian, and others. He managed a furniture store in McAlester and worked for Williamson Funeral Home in Wetumka. He also volunteered for Project D.A.R.E. and enjoyed woodworking and Southern Gospel music.
He married Debbie Piersing on July 9, 2013.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Shropshire; brother, Jimmy Shropshire (Donna); sons, Michael Shropshire, Billy Shropshire (Gina), Karl Piersing (Michelle), and Ryan Piersing (Nicole); daughters, Leigh Ann Piersing (Jeremy) and Heather Sayre (Kevin); 14 grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Chery; son, Thomas Eric Shropshire; brothers, Billy Shropshire and Randy Shropshire; and a sister, Sandy Shropshire Hibbert.
