Funeral services for Wayne Griffin, 80, of Moffett, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025, at the Agent & Mallory-Martin Chapel in Muldrow. Burial was at Fleetwood Cemetery in Sallisaw under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mr. Griffin was born on April 14, 1944, in Moffett to William Alfred Griffin and Lela Marie (Stewart) Griffin. He died on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025, in Roland.
He worked at Riverside Furniture and was a part puller at Rogers Salvage. He enjoyed catfishing, hunting and Harley Davidson motorcycles.
Survivors include his children, Diana Bynum-Woolworth of Gans, Melinda and James Vigil of Ozark, Ark., and Scottie Bynum of Muldrow; 14 grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley (Jackson) Griffin; one son, Gerald Griffin; and one brother, Elmo Griffin.
Pallbearers were Bobby Bentley, Bobby Bentley Jr., Shane Copeland, Brandon Burris, Matthew Vigil and Chris Bynum.

Wayne & Elmer grew in a little 3 rm house in the corner of our pasture. We went to school at Lee´s Chapel under the teacher Mrs Esther New who happened to board in our
home. Marie would give the
boys a little birthday party with kool-aid & cake & have me & my brothers over. I last saw Wayne at a mini class reunion for Muldrow Class of 1962 in Ft. Smith. We were the same age & he was a big part of my life for a few years. Nice guy. And I remember Uncle Ott.
