Amos is survived by his loving wife, Rosanna Herring; daughter, Sheila (Kendric) Harley; son, Alvin Herring; brothers, Freddie (Shirley) Herring, Joe Jr. (Retha) Herring, Clarence (Ethel) Herring, Herman (Mary) Herring, and John (Mary) Herring; sisters, Ruby Jones, Rosetta (Ervin) Watson, Elouise (Reginald Sr.) Reynolds, Mildred (Tommy) Wilson, Janie Lippus, and Valerie (Marcell) Rolle; grandsons, Travon Herring, Kyson Harley, and Kade Harley; granddaughters, Nicole Herring and Kaylen Harley, and countless other relatives and friends.

My deepest sympathy to the Herring family. I will always remember my good times with cousin Amos. He always made us laugh and had fun times. Running and walking on those red clay roads. Working the fields together all of us cousins with kindness, love and gratefulness and togetherness. His smiling face. He is at rest, eternal peace.
