Jeanette Connell Obituary

Jeanette Townsend Connell, aged 83, of Greenville, Fla., passed away on Sept. 9, 2024, in Tallahassee, Fla. Born Jeanette Townsend in Jacksonville, Fla., she carved a notable career in real estate in Monticello, Fla., notably as the former owner and operator of North Florida Abstract and Title.
Jeanette's life was enriched by her passions for walking dirt roads, camping, fishing, dancing and music, hobbies that brought joy not only to her but also to those who knew her.
She leaves behind her husband of 58 years, Winston Connell of Greenville, Fla.; daughters, Lynette Connell Sirmon (John) and Julie Connell Smith (Chad); and son, Richard Connell. Jeanette was preceded in death by her father, James Albert Townsend; mother, Peggy O'Berry Townsend; a son, Leonard Nathaniel Norton; and a brother, James Townsend.
A memorial service will be held on Oct. 12, 2024, at Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery, 446 Hatchett Road, Monticello, Fla,. at 11 am. Jeanette's life and legacy will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
