Thomas Glenn Obituary

Thomas Glenn, 95, of Monticello's Waukeenah Community passed at home on Thursday, November 6, 2005. Homegoing services are 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 15, at his church, St. Phillip AME Church, Monticello, FL. Viewing-visitation is 4-6 p.m. Friday at St. Phillip. Mr. Glenn largely worked for one employer, El Destino Plantation, for over 70 years where he served as a caretaker, courier and groundskeeper. At St. Phillip, he was a Steward, Trustee, Finance Committeeman, and member of the Sons of Allen. He was also a member of the Sons & Daughters of Joshua. Survivors include his loving daughter, Deborah Denise Glenn; grandson, Daniel Johansen (Felisa) Nealy; grand godson, Cory Crawford; sisters: Florence (Paul) Joseph and Thelma Ganey; brother, Morris "Talley" Glenn; sisters-in-law, Bernice Vaughn and Louise King; and numerous other family and friends, including his El Destino Plantation family.
