Dennis Copeland Overton

Mr. Dennis Copeland Overton, 52, of Brooksville,
Florida, husband of 29 years to Heidi Grandey Overton,
passed away on Monday, Nov. 28, 2022.
Dennis w as b orn in F t. L auderdale,
Florida on Oct. 13, 1970, son of the late Dallas
Edward Overton S r. a nd L inda L ee
Stitt Anderson. He was a well-known and
respected heavy equipment operator who
took great pride in his work. Dennis enjoyed
fishing, old cars, and watching football
(and talking football smack with his cousin Joe!).
He was particularly fond of coffee (one cream and one
sugar!), and his Winston cigarettes.
His devotion to his family was second-to-none. He
leaves behind his wife, Heidi; children, Kyle (Heather)
Overton of Hartwell, Caine Overton of Brooksville,
Florida, Clayton Overton, Amzie Overton, Erin Shaw
and Lindsey Rice, all of Elberton; sister, Cindy Corley
of Salisbury, North Carolina; and four grandchildren,
Calvin Overton, Ava Mahaffey, Jackson Mahaffey and
Ryder Mahaffey.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by
his siblings: Dallas Overton Jr. and LaDonna Dixon.

Overton were held on Dec. 17 in the Memorial Chapel
of Berry Funeral Home with Mr. Michael Shaver officiating.
