Elva Nicholson Obituary

Elva T. Nicholson (nee Toepel), age 95, of Dundee passed away July 24, 2007 at St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin, IL. She was born September 29, 1911 at home in Maine Township.

She was a homemaker and a registered nurse, and a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two sons, Thord J. (Debbra) of Carpentersville, Harvey E. (Barbara) of Elizabeth, IL; a daughter, Ruth Ellen Meyer of St. Charles; seven grandchildren, E. Marie Steta, Dawn M. (Keith) Otte, Scott E. Nicholson, Heather J. Meyer, Nancy A. Nicholson, Michelle L. Meyer, and Charles T. Nicholson; seven great-grandchildren, S. Nicole (nee Tonkin) Gehl, Edward Tonkin IV, Timothy Tonkin, Lindsay Steta Ryan Otte, Jessica Otte, Blake Nicholson; one great-great grandchild Anthony Gehl, Jr.; one sister, Hildegard (nee Toepel) Kudslc, of Colorado;

She was preceded in death by husband, (Thord C. Nicholson, 1986); two sisters; a brother; and her parents.

Services will be at the St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church 300 Jefferson St., Algonquin, IL 60102, Monday, July 30, 2007 at 9:00A.M.

Memorials will go to St. John's Lutheran Church, 300 Jefferson St., in Algonquin for Service book, Pastoral and Music Director's materials. Visitation will be Sunday, July 29, from 2:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Willow Funeral Home

We were so sorry to hear about Elva. I have informed Mary Moss about her dear friends passing. I am so glad that we were able to bring Mary to Elva's last birthday party, they had such a good time visiting with each other. Mary was so pleased that the grandaughter brought Elva to visit her at the Lutheran Home. Your family is in our prayers.
