James Lublow Obituary

James H. Lublow, 76, of Elgin passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born May 19th, 1940 in Wauwatosa, WI the son of Benjamin and Viola Lueck Lublow. Surviving are his beloved wife of 48 years, Paula Bussan Lublow whom he married on December 21, 1968. He was extremely loving and proud of his 6 children, Lisa (Stewart) Hipes, Carrie (Joseph) Hall, James (Jennifer) Lublow, Kelly (John) Burch, Deborah (Fiancé Andy Pighetti) Pagel, Vicki (William) Moore, 14 grandchildren and a sister, Becky Drake. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 brother, Robert Lublow. He lived a simple life spending countless hours with his family and friends, often putting others needs before his own. He will be remembered for his carefree easy going personality and was loved by all. He grew up in Wisconsin where he served the Armed Forces and became a graduate from the University of Wisconsin Madison. He achieved a successful sales career at BF Goodrich and later a business owner of Gilles Frozen Custard in St. Charles, IL. He was an avid sports fan, always supporting the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers. During his years of retirement he enjoyed nature while watching birds, cooking, and relaxing in his chair with a good book, cold beer and dog Oliver by his side. Come help us celebrate his life, visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Laird Funeral Home, Elgin and Wednesday in the church from 10:00 AM until the time of mass. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 25 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Elgin with Rev. Richard Rosinski officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Elgin. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Leukemia Research Foundation of Illinois (allbloodcancers.org). I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Jim at BFG in the Product Planning Group in the mid 70's and have warm memories of Jim as a fellow product manager. May God bless and comfort you.
