Alfred Michael "Al" Brummer

1954 - 2025

Alfred M. Brummer Jr., age 70, of Elk River, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at home on August 15, 2025, with his beloved wife Peggy by his side.

Born and raised in South Minneapolis, Al was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He married the love of his life, Peggy, in 1973, and together they built a life centered around family, love, and shared adventures. In 1975, they moved to Elk River, where Al would spend the rest of his life.

Al was the proud father of three sons: Jim (Debi) Brummer, Joe Brummer, and John (Nicole) Brummer. He was a cherished grandfather to seven grandchildren: Parker, Carson, Hannah, Emily, Mason, Ellie, and Kensley. His family was his greatest joy, and he never missed an opportunity to support them, especially at their sporting events, where he was their biggest fan.

Al's passions included hunting, fishing, shooting, and spending time "up north," where he found peace and connection with nature. Above all, his favorite pastime was simply being with his family. He was a thoughtful, caring, and hard-working man who always put others before himself.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Lupe Brummer, whose values and love helped shape the man he became.

Al will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his quiet strength, and the warmth he brought to every room. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of Al's life is scheduled for September 13th from noon to 3:00 p.m. at the American Legion located at 525 Railroad Drive, Elk River, MN 55330.
