Virginia Zahler Obituary

Virginia, age 84 of Albertville, passed away on February 7, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her husband Allan; and siblings Joan Hart, Judy Collins, Pauline Bible, and Dr. Daniel Sullivan.

Surviving, are her children, Todd (Cheryl) Zahler and Robyn (Jeff) Smith; brothers-in-law, David Hart and Kenny Witzel; sisters-in-law, Diane Sullivan and Bev Zahler; many nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Virginia (Ginny, Gin, Ginger) drove a school bus for over forty years and was a big NASCAR fan, especially Jimmie Johnson. She loved country music, both old and new.

She loved animals, especially dogs and cats. She was most recently grandma to six fur babies, Alie, Paulie, Sam, Joee, Rudy and Frosty. She collected dolls, antiques, and lots of knick knacks. She took great pride in decorating her home with all of her collections. Mom loved to help others. She enjoyed watching TV, going to the movies, meeting friends for coffee and dining out at restaurants. Her true joy was doing all of those things with family and friends.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 18380 Columbus Street, Dayton. Visitation one hour prior to Mass. Interment to follow Mass at the church cemetery.
